Hiring ChoraLine Recordings
Any work from the ChoraLine repertoire may be hired in either CD or cassette
format by UK choirs. The normal hire period is 8 weeks from the nominated start
date (usually the next rehearsal date) and costs £4 per recording (either
format). There is also an extended hire option (from nominated start date to
concert day) at £5 per recording (either format). Normal hire may be extended
during the hire period if required.
Human nature being what it is, we appreciate the difficulty that choir
representatives have getting everything back from individual choir members on
the due date. We are therefore accustomed to the art of give and take,
especially if we are kept informed. That said, any recordings not returned or
returned damaged will be charged at list price.
Hire dates are best left to the judgement and experience of individual choir
representatives, but it should be borne in mind that all singers are not the
same! Some take a few rehearsals to gauge the difficulty of their own voice
part (or even to get to grips with home rehearsal), whereas some dive straight
in from day one. For others, it may be quite late in the day when they realise
that they do not know the piece as well as they thought (or even should)! For
this reason, extended hire may be preferable to standard hire. For the same
reason, we accept (and are quite used to) the need for top-up hires after the
initial order has been delivered.
